You Can Be Busy… and Still Be Out of Alignment

Your first responsibility is not just prayer, but alignment. Prayer of alignment or strategic positioning.
Think about the moon. It has no source of energy, so it does not produce light. The moonlight we see is actually sunlight reflected off the Moon’s surface by reason of strategic positionings. The Moon’s surface reflects about 12% of the sunlight that hits it, while absorbing the rest. As the Moon orbits Earth, we see different portions of this reflected sunlight. This is responsible for phases of the Moon (new moon, half moon, full moon). So, despite generating no light, it shines, but only as a mirror, not as a lamp. There is a huge lesson here to balance prayers with strategic positioning with God.
Not many of us start the year thanking God for His outline. We rather bombard His throne asking Him to prosper our outline for the year. If you drive your yearly goal setting outside God's ordination, you may eventually achieve them but you would also give birth to stuff that is not Spirit-grade.
Imagine what God said to Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Before a man is born, God has an outline. A defined journey. It is this God’s outline that defines every other factor surrounding his birth. The same goes for our journeys. Think of a typical Jeremiah, who started the year praying for a business breakthrough just because He did not have a clue into God's outline for him for the year was. Well, he would likely still make some money or cover some ground to fill the vacuum. However, he would have jettisoned his ordination.
I know you have desires and plans, but listen, God has an outline. When you start thanking God for His outline, you stand properly positioned to pray and plan right. We do not want to be achievers alone. It is a waste. We want to fulfill God's pre-ordination. This is the only way there is equilibrium within God's ecosystem. Let me encourage you today; there is no agenda, no matter how strategic that can match God's outline - even if it appears foolish.
1Corinthians 1:25
"For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength"
Lord, I thank You for Your outline for us this year. Help us to stay positioned within that alignment, to the end that our outcomes may glorify Your name.
Your Brother,
David Kay-Akeremale.
