Your Fruits In Your Root

Before God brings visible growth and manifestations, He often firstly works on some non-visible roots. This could be in form of seasons of quiet rebuilding, which must never be seen as a wasted time. Sometimes He channels our faith through the crucible of hardship thereby producing the strongest of fruits in due season. This was the code that unlocked David's national fame and fruitfulness, as he brought down Goliath.
2 Kings 19:30
"And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah Shall again take root downward, And bear fruit upward."
The concept of “rooting” is an important topic in God's agenda. Today, if Jesus were to sit in a retreat with us as a key facilitator and teaching on “Rooting Essentials”, this is the version I think He would be highlighting about what Isaiah prophesied to Judah:
1. Be consistent in prayer and not just emergency calls on Heaven's line.
2. Love the Word and not just an occasional dive.
3. Prioritize prompt obedience, not convenience.
4. Be dexterous and excellent in your engagements.
5. Serve with integrity, humility and joy.
6. Understand the purpose of Work and God’s original blueprint
Being rooted means being positioned to scale in dimensions consistent with God's glory. It means being positioned for greater works and God's use. I believe this is what John Sammis describes as "walking with the Lord in the light of His Word."
JOHN H. SAMMIS
“When we walk with the Lord,
in the light of his word,
what a glory He sheds on our way!
while we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.”
We must pay attention to our roots because from them our fruits draw sustenance and strength. We must retrace our steps and yet again find God’s purpose in our work as we trust Him for complete alignment this year and years to come.
Your Brother,
David Kay-Akeremale.
