CONSISTENCY IS A SEED AT WORK

Beloved, more people read and watch you more than you ever imagined! Do you ever feel tempted to under perform? You feel pressured to mess with your quality? Do you assume your procrastination would affect noone else? Do you nurse the thought of quitting because you think you’re just the only one in your ocean?

Believe me, many lives depend on God’s investment in you than you could ever imagine. Some you may never see or receive their accolades. And here’s when it makes sense when Paul writes in Colossians 3:23-24 that our work is actually a service to the unseen CEO-God. He is the primary One who pays you, so to say. So, draw strength from His reliability.

I had some days break sharing this daily devotional. There was a technical issue. Among many cold callers, a 13 year old boy chatted …”I’m Richard and I read your daily devotional on my mum’s tablet. We missed them for days. Are you fine?” Many that had never acknowledged receipt reached out same way. It was a lesson God taught me in a way I can never misinterpret or forget.

Galatians 6:9(NLT)

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” (GNT)

If you work in a client-facing role and some customers voluntarily reward with ‘tips’, be careful not to allow such reward determine your relationship. Consistency in season and out of season and to all seasoners is God’s seasoned work ethics.

The supreme target of every believer at work is to be Christ-like. It’s beyond getting your next promotion. Peace and ultimate fulfillment actually come when God’s purpose is fulfilled on the job.
