Consecration at Work: How to Honor God Through Your Daily Work
If we all offer up ourselves as sacrifice on our workplace altars, as a response to God’s mercy and grace, the supernatural would flow.
Hannah once offered up Samuel to the Lord in fulfillment of her pledge. She never went back to Eli to ask if the boy could do summer with her.
How much of yourself do you offer as sacrifice on your job right now and in response to God’s grace?
Paul ends a section of eleven chapters of Romans with a powerful doxology in verse 36 having described God’s mercy and grace:
“For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
On the account of what God has done as described, Paul now turns to how the believers must respond, in chapter 12:1
Romans 12:1 (KJV)
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Frances captures a bit of psalm 123:1-2 and Romans 12:1 in his hymn: This level of consecration should continue to be our response to God as we hold our tools at work.

TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE
Verse 1
Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days;
Let them flow in endless praise,
Let them flow in endless praise.
Verse 2
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet, and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
Verse 3
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.
Verse 4
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
Verse 5
Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart - it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
Verse 6
Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee
Your Brother,
